What is AMSMIC?
The Association of Medical School Microbiology and Immunology Chairs (AMSMIC) is an organization whose purpose is to promote, advance and support the educational and scientific purposes of the fields of microbiology and immunology, and to provide a forum for communication among chairperson and directors of Departments of Microbiology and Immunology and equivalent organizational units.
Other goals of AMSMIC are to aid in the education and training of medical students and physicians; to explore means, methods, agencies and funds by which such microbiological and immunological and other scientific research and education may be furthered, and to assist in dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Membership in AMSMIC is open to all Chairs of Microbiology and Immunology and equivalent organizations units in medical schools.
